Empowering Youth Through Creativity and Connection
Together, we developed non-formal methods that truly made a difference in young people's lives, fostering self-esteem and confidence.
Youth workers from Poland, Romania, and Spain teamed up to create innovative methods using various art forms:
- Spanish Youth Workers: Focused on the power of theatre.
- Polish Youth Workers: Explored the impact of music.
- Romanian Youth Workers: Harnessed the energy of dance.
Through bi-weekly meetings, we shared ideas, provided feedback, and refined our approaches. This collaborative spirit meant we often combined methods or transformed them into something entirely new, drawing on our collective experience and knowledge.
Our Commitment to Young People
Each organization selected 40 young people who were ready to embark on this transformative journey. We ensured participants fit the project's profile, creating a dynamic and supportive environment for everyone.
We believed in continuous growth. That's why each partner proposed a dedicated trainer for our core training course. These three trainers jointly designed a comprehensive curriculum.
Expert Guidance and Ongoing Support
More importantly, they committed to mentoring participants for six months after the initial training! We organized a flexible schedule with ad-hoc training sessions at least twice a month, adapting to the needs of each group.
For five months, each partner led workshops with their local group of young people. To ensure effective learning and engagement, youth were divided into smaller working groups, with each youth worker guiding no more than 5-10 participants.
Project coordinators managed schedules, ensured fair participation among youth workers, and tracked attendance.
Weekly Workshops: A Dual Approach to Growth
Young people participated in two workshops per week:
- Once a week: Dedicated to artistic exploration, including learning new skills and rehearsing for a final show.
- Once a week: Focused on non-formal workshops designed to build essential life skills such as self-esteem, confidence, and communication.
This project was more than just workshops; it was an opportunity to discover your potential, express yourself creatively, and connect with a supportive community.
